Just Hanging In My Crib!

Most evenings before my bath, I end up wandering over to my room as my mom is picking out my pjs & my outfit for the next day. That's when I try to clamber up my crib, letting my mom know that I want in.

Once I'm in I roll around & tend to crack my head on the rails in the process, to my parent's horror.



I always put my music machine on when I'm in my crib. It's usually the first thing I do when I wake up or the first thing I look at when my parents wake me. I'll be in a deep sleep one second & frantically trying to stand up while pointing at my music machine saying, "Da!" the next second.

And just as quickly as I want in, that's how quickly I want out!

Sick Again!

Once again, I am sick with a runny nose & a fever! What's a guy got to do to feel better around here? Well, hopefully we'll figure something out when my daddy takes me to the pediatrician tomorrow!



I just want to be a healthy & happy camper again! Is that too much to ask?!

Just Another Day At the Beach!

This weekend we headed to my grandma & grandpa's condo at the beach. Unfortunately my grandpa was out of town on business, but it was great to see everyone else; my Auntie Mel, Uncle Mike & cousins, Maddy & Mikayla came to stay as well!

We had lots of fun swimming in the pool & frolicking in the sand on Saturday; there's nothing like being on the beach in January! Gotta love Florida!

Sickling

Saturday evening my parents noticed that I felt a tad warm as I was going to sleep. I woke up a few hours later & when I was checked on, I felt even warmer than before. By Sunday morning it felt like you could fry an egg on my head. But, since we have a perfectly functioning stove, we didn't fry an egg on my head... that would be weird. Anyway, my temperature was 103.5 so I was in no shape to go to church so Daddy hung back with me while Mommy went.

Sunday I slept on my parents most of the day, which I never do; that's always a sure sign that I'm sick. As I went to bed, it was decided that my dad would stay home with me on Monday so I could recoup before going back to day care since you can't get any peace & quiet there! Monday afternoon, my mom & dad decided that I should stay home one more day, so Mommy arranged to take off work today.

Today my fever was basically gone, but I was rather cranky. The doctor said I could have a reaction from the vaccinations for up to 8 days & it's still only been 6 days as of today. I also have a mild ear infection in my right ear as well as 4 teeth coming in. So it's no wonder I'm cranky; I have a triple whammy against me!

Anyway, I had a good day with my mom & you'll notice I'm wearing Crocs in the picture above. I had never seen these shoes before today & once I had them on my feet I did NOT want them taken off! When my mom had the audacity to remove them this afternoon, I walked up to her with the shoes in hand & demanded they be put back on!

15 Month Stats

Yesterday Daddy took the day off work so we could pay a visit to the doctor for my 15 month well visit. I had to have a couple of shots, but I'm a tough cookie, so it was no biggie.

My stats are as followed:

Height: 34" - 98th percentile
Weight: 28#, 6oz - 90th percentile
Head circumference: 20.08" - 100th percentile (as usual!)

So, since birth I've grown a foot & a half & gained twenty-two & a half pounds! Wow, I'm getting so big!

New Version of Me!

Since our camera is on the fritz & currently shipped off for repair, I thought I'd just update everyone & let you know what I'm up to & into these days (this picture above is from New Year's Eve). Here is what the 15-month old version of me looks like:

1) My favorite saying is now, "uh-oh." I mainly use it appropriately, like when I drop something (or even when I fart!), but sometimes I say it even when I do something on purpose; such as chucking a toy across the room or slamming my toy golf club into the dog dish, spraying water everywhere.

2) I love using sign language & seem to be picking up a new word every week or so. My vocabulary includes: More, drink, sleep, milk & bath. I use bath & more the most.

3) I still love watching my Baby Einstein videos & usually watch one in the evening as I'm getting dressed in my pjs.

4) I still sleep 12 hours each night; usually 7:30-7:30.

5) I have 12 baby teeth & four more (my canines/cuspids) are coming through now. That means that I'm done with getting my teeth except for my second molars. Check this chart to see what I'm talking about.

6) Nothing pleases me more than doing something my mom told me not to do. I usually laugh like a demon & do it that much more.

7) Sharing my food with the pets is awesome; Demps just got a quarter of my turkey sandwich this weekend & Casper vomited all over my parent's bedroom because of all the cheese I slipped him.

8) I love books, especially ones with flaps I can look under, touch/feel or books that make sounds. Typically, I bring a book to my mom or dad, turn around, plop in their lap & listen as they read. And by listen, I mean, turn the page while they're in the midst of a sentence.

That about sums up what I'm into these days! We'll see what next month brings!



"What's that, Mom? You don't want me to climb the stairs? Aw yeah! Can't wait to climb & watch that sucker run after me!!"

Santa, Baby!

My mom thought that this Santa kind of looked like me; we're both a tad bald & we each have blue eyes. The one difference? Santa doesn't drool! Oh, and I don't have a beard.

Cam Meets Ryanna!

Last week when we were in Illinois, I got to meet a very beautiful girl named Rhyanna! My mommy has been wonderful friends with Gina for a very, very long time & Rhyanna is Gina's daughter.




Don't mind me, Rhyanna, I get to know a person by studying the shape of their head!



And apparently Rhyanna gets to know a person by laying across their lap! (And no, our parents did not put us in this position!)

My Grammy

I had such a wonderful visit with my Grammy in Illinois. It is always such fun to be around her; she plays on the floor with me, makes me laugh & takes such good care of me! I was very sad to say goodbye to her at the airport yesterday morning, but I'm happy to say that Grammy is coming to visit me in Florida in about a month!

I'm On Top Of The World!

Okay, well I may not be on top of the world, but I was on top of the Sears Tower Skydeck & it sure felt like I was on top of the world! We wound our way through the blustery streets of downtown & this view made it well worth it!

Time with Adelaide

Saturday I was able to visit with Adelaide who I hadn't seen in 9 months! When you're a baby, 9 months is a HUGE span of time! We weren't even crawling last time we saw each other & now Adelaide & I were able to walk & explore together.

Adelaide is almost exactly 2 months younger than me, but she was walking even before I could; oh well, you know girls, they always have to show a guy up!

More Christmas

I awoke Christmas morning to my grammy whipping up some delicious Belgium waffles. After indulging in one (maybe two, but who's counting?) waffles, it was time to open presents!

Merry Christmas: Part 2

Merry Christmas to all! This post is titled as "Part 2" since part 1 of our Christmas celebration was a couple of weeks ago at my house in Florida. We celebrated Christmas Eve at my grammy & papa's house & I enjoyed meeting so many more family members.

When Santa arrived, I couldn't believe my eyes. I have to say, though, that I was quite mortified when I fell off Santa's lap & took a nose dive to the floor. When everyone saw that I was okay, the whole room erupted in laughter! Can't say I appreciated that. Not one bit.

Third Visit With Santa

Sunday morning we had brunch with Santa & once again I was nothing but smiles! I think I have a special place in Santa's heart so I'm surely on the "Nice" list this year!

My Adventure!

This morning my mommy & daddy woke me up very early & I thought to myself, "boy, this better be good!" And it was!

We headed to the airport for our flight to Chicago & it was my first time on an airplane!!



Here I am right before we had to go through security. I found it odd that the lady had to scan my milk & juice with some strange contraption, but whatever!
