The BIG THREE!

We celebrated my third birthday on Friday!!

Since we went to Disney in October & we're going to North Carolina for Thanksgiving, we decided to have a low key get together with family on Sunday.

There's was a lot of love in the air!  Mommy & Daddy can hardly believe how big we're getting.

Speaking of getting big, Mommy took me to the doctor for my 3 year well visit on Monday.

My three year stats:

Height: 37" (50%)
Weight: 35# (86%)

I grew 3" & gained 4# since my second birthday.  Based on my current height & my height at my 2nd year visit, the doctor is convinced I'll be at least 5'8" when I'm an adult.  That just blows Mommy's mind since she's barely 5'3"!

The tooth fairy came TWICE!

I can't believe I forgot to blog about this sooner, but on June 21st I lost my very first tooth!

It had been hanging on by a thread for weeks so when I was swimming at Auntie Kelly & Uncle Matt's house, it popped out as I spun on a raft.  Mommy & Daddy were pretty excited!

Mommy had barely gotten my tooth into the baggie to take home when my second tooth popped out in the same way!  This was going to be a pretty special first Tooth Fairy visit!  The sweet fairy left me ten big ones that are now in my fund for a Wii U.  I don't look too much different after losing the teeth since my adult teeth are already half way in.

See?  I'm such a big kid!

Busy bees!

Grammy & Auntie Erika came in last week for a quick visit, so we played hookey from summer camp/day care & had a super fun week!  We hit Lego Land, Downtown Disney & various other parks & playgrounds.

Orlando was an absolute blast & we ate lunch at the T-Rex Cafe.  I hadn't been there since I was almost three years old so it was good to be back!

Yo ho, mateys away!

We browsed around the Disney store while we waited out a torrential downpour & had such a great time just playing with the never ending toys.

Grammy even got in on the action!

Unfortunately it's back to school & we won't see Grammy until they all come down for a Disney vacation in October.  We can hardly wait!!

5.5 year well visit

Mommy picked me up yesterday & we headed to the doctor so I could be up-to-date with my vaccinations since I'm starting kindergarten this fall!!  I was SUCH a tough guy & handled both of my shots like a champ!  I also had to have my finger pricked so they could check my iron & cholesterol.  Turns out, I'm a bleeder!  My finger took forever to stop bleeding!

I had my favorite "yellow soup," aka broccoli cheddar & slurped it up like a champ!  And since I'm such a nice guy, I volunteered to share my cupcake with Mommy too.  We had an awesome dinner date!

5.5 year stats:

Height: 45.5" (68%)
Weight: 52# (88%)
BP: 92/48

This weekend is my VPK graduation!  I can barely believe how quickly the year flew by!

30 month well visit

We headed to the doctor last week for my 2 1/2 year old well visit.  Luckily I just had to get a check-up & avoided any shots!  My mom prepped me as we drove, telling me that the doctor was just going to look in my mouth, ears & eyes & listen to my heart.  The nurse would have to measure my head & length which I usually fight tooth & nail.  Well, it was time to get onto the scale & I was not having it!  I wrapped my legs around Mommy's waist & wouldn't let go.  Finally we both got onto the scale & then my mom had to get back on without me.

Surprisingly, I did great for the rest of my exam & even opened my mouth for the doctor before she had to ask.  She thought I was pretty funny & I told her she looked like a princess!  Anyway, here are my thirty month stats:

Height: 36.5" (77%)
Weight: 34# (92%!!!!)

My BFF

When I was born, Mikayla was just over 15 months old.  As she toddled around, I cried, ate, slept & pooped as newborns do sp little did my parents know that we would soon become best friends forever & completely connected at the hip!

When we spend weekends together, you'll never find us apart!

This past weekend, our parents watched us play video games together & noticed that we even speak our own language to each other.  No one knew what we were talking about, but we both understood!

I'm so lucky to have such an awesome partner in crime!

I'm on a boat!

Back in January when Grammy & Papa were in town, I played hooky from school & we headed to the water for a dolphin sighting boat ride.

We were able to see a few clusters of dolphins so it was pretty cool!

It was a very chilly day though so I was really bundled up as you can see!

The best part was spending time with my family!  Reese went to school that day since she's still little & gets exceptionally cranky when missing a nap.  We sure did miss the little gal though!

We ended our outing with a waterside lunch at Bubba Gump's!

I'm a t-baller, baby!

Gosh, I've been a busy kid lately, that's why I haven't blogged in so long!  What have I been keeping busy with?  Ah, you know, pre-K, friends, family, the ladies (ha ha, only kidding on that one) and t-ball!

As you can tell, I enjoyed the heck out of my first season playing & I think baseball just might be my sport.  I wasn't as crazy about soccer but that could be related to the fact that we had to play in the insane heat & humidity.  Note to self, never play sports between the end of April & September!

I had plenty of people cheering for me from the sidelines!

One weekend Grandma & Grandpa came up with just Mikayla since Maddy was camping.

And the following weekend both Maddy & Mikayla made it to my game.  I have the best cousins!

One can only guess what Daddy was saying to Mommy when this picture was taken.  Nice face, Mom & nice frizzy hair too!

I was pretty focused & intense & tried my hardest both at bat & in the field.

See what I mean?  I'm an animal!

Me & my teammates would all run & dive for the ball, falling into a heap which sorta slowed us in getting the out.  But it was all in good fun!

Grandpa was nice enough to come out twice & take these awesome action shots of me!

Here's the backdrop of Comiskey Park US Cellular Field & Grandpa made it into a button that my mommy proudly wears on her purse.  She said now that she has a sports button, she's officially a mom!  But who knows, if I keep getting better, maybe I might just make it to the big leagues & play at the real field instead of standing in front of a backdrop!

I'll leave you with this outtake so you can see just how awkward I can be when taking posed pictures!
