Busch Gardens Time!

Yesterday, despite the heat, we decided to head to Busch Gardens so that Auntie Erika & Grammy could join us on their last day before heading back to Chicago.

We started the day with a very close-up visit with the flamingos! I love watching the flamingos when we pass their area at Busch Gardens, but I never expected to be standing only inches from them! Mommy was completely caught off guard when one began to nibble on her ear!!

Next we headed to my favorite part of the park, the Seasame Street area.

After hitting a couple of rides, it was time to cool off at the splash pad! Since it was so insanely hot, the water felt wonderful.

After my water romp, I relaxed & enjoyed a sucker. In the picture above on the right, you'll see me showing the camera how old I am. In one short month I'll be the big three!!! Wow!

We went on a couple more rides, explored the suspension bridge, had some lunch & headed home since we were all worn out from sweating our tails off. Since poor mommy had to haul Baby Reese around she was definitely ready for us to leave! We had a great time though & it was a fun way to end my week with Grammy & Auntie. Right now they're driving back to Chicago & I'm already missing them lots!

My Injury

Last night I was acting like my usual, goofy self when I pulled my arm away from my mom as she was brushing my teeth. After I fell to the ground I began screaming & crying in pain. I'm one tough cookie but that was even too much pain for me to handle. My poor mom was trying to comfort me but couldn't help crying herself since she couldn't stand to see me in such pain. Mommy & Daddy decided to see how I did during the night before we made a trip to the ER.

I woke up crying in pain a few times during the night but overall, I slept pretty well. When I woke up this morning in just as much pain, it was time to call the doctor. I was a total trooper through the whole thing, even when I had to have pictures taken of my arm... it hurt so bad when they had to move it!

Luckily my arm wasn't broken but we needed to figure out why I was in so much pain. The pediatrician we saw today was so nice & I liked him a lot. But I liked him even more after he suspected that my elbow was dislocated & got it back into place!! Okay, maybe I wasn't so fond of him as he was manipulating my arm & causing me excruciating pain, but when it was done & my pain was gone, I could have kissed him! We celebrated by getting some Happy Meals at McDonald's afterward. I'm so thankful to be feeling better now!!

Swimming with My Cousins

Sunday we took a trip up to Grandma & Grandpa's condo on the beach for some fun time with my family. Any chance I can get to spend with my cousins is wonderful by me!

The blondies eating breakfast!

After breakfast it was swimming time!

Whenever I'm with my cousins I become a little big for my britches & think I can run with the big dogs! For instance, I am by no means able to swim on my own, yet after watching Maddy & Mikayla jump into the pool without floatation devices, I assume I'm able to do the same. Good thing my parents are always standing by to rescue me & keep me in line! I always have plenty of crazy antics up my sleeve!
