Little pumpkins

We decorated pumpkins last night & I decided to make a bat while Reese made a spider.

Mommy & Daddy later carved their pumpkins, but it was a better idea to not give us knives to mess with!

Reese decided to make her pumpkin a girl by putting the bow on the top of it's head instead of under his mouth as a bow-tie.  Creative girl!  But she absolutely refused to put the top hat on.  I guess girls don't typically wear top hats!

Our pumpkins are hanging out on the front porch in anticipation for Halloween & all of the trick or treaters!  I'll be rocking out my new Mario costume & Reese will be a sweet little ballerina.  We've got our parties at school tomorrow too so we're super excited!

I tried to write my name on my bat pumpkin with the glitter pen but it didn't quite work out as I had envisioned it.  Ah well, ya win some, ya lose some!  Happy Halloween, everyone, I hope you have a spooky, candy-filled day!!

Time to party like a 5 year old!

Last week we celebrated my FIFTH birthday & it ended up being a nearly week long event which I loved!  Trust me, I really milked it being my birthday... "Mom, can I watch just one more show before bed??  But, it's my birthday week!"  Yep, I'm a stinker!  Papa flew in from Chicago to join Grammy for my party & we all had a blast!

We helped Mommy decorate my homemade cake & made an absolute mess in the kitchen!  That just proved that we had a good time doing it!

Our favorite part was licking the whipped cream off the beaters!

Normally I take both for myself, but this year Reese was big enough to join in!

My second favorite part was opening presents!  I got some awesome Mario games for my 3DS & Wii & promptly went upstairs to test them out.  Mommy had to drag me downstairs to sing & have cake.  Told you I was a stinker!

My third favorite part was making a wish & eating my cake.

Of course my side-kick, I mean sister, joined in too!

We re-lit the candles so Reese could blow them out & make a wish too!

I chose a SpongeBob party this year since it's my new favorite show.

Mommy made the Bikini Bottom inner tube on the wall out of a foam wreath, white & red ribbon & blue puffy paint.  It took her all of ten minutes to make so it was an easy decoration.  Or so I'm told!

Mommy & Daddy made pink jellyfish out of balloons & streamers.

And I chose a pirate SpongeBob cupcake cake!

The day was positively beautiful so we set up a baby pool & slip & slide & the babies & kids spent a ton of time playing in the water.  Just before dinner was served, every kid got naked & jumped in.  We're crazy like that.

No family party is complete without playing bags!

After we dined on our Krabby Patty hamburger bar, it was time for cake & presents!

Auntie Lauren brought this red candle flower & it ended up spinning around, playing happy birthday.  We soon found out that there was no way to shut it off & later that night Mommy heard it playing in her room & found it under her bed.  She still isn't sure who put it there, but she's guessing that Uncle Matt was the culprit!

It was a very low key party with a small group of family & friends, but we all had such a great time!  Happy FIFTH birthday to ME!

Summer lovin'

With it being summertime, our options are limited as far as outdoor activities are concerned.  If you're not familiar with Florida summers, they're extremely hot & extremely humid!  We're also always hunting for inexpensive outings since us kids cost so much money!

Daddy found the perfect outing at the Dunedin splash pad!  It was free & it was fenced in to keep little rug rats like Reese contained!  We met with Samantha & Leah too & had an absolute blast splashing around.

After the splash pad we hit the playground next door & then headed to lunch with the whole gang.

Reese was so pooped out after our outing that within five minutes of driving, she was out cold!  Summer's nearly over, I've started preschool & my fifth birthday is about a month away... lots going on!!

Pizza party!

Summer has kept us busy & I realized it's been quite a while since I've updated!

We've been having fun on the weekends spending time with family & friends, grilling & making yummy food.  Recently when Mom & Dad were grilling with Auntie Kelly & Uncle Matt, they decided to let us kids whip up our own pizzas.  Reese was sure to supervise, very, very closely.  And when I say supervise, I mean, shove her gullet full of her favorite, cheese!

Look at that little stinker!

While we made pizza & ate cheese, Samantha was busy moving furniture back & forth, back & forth!

My first trophy

Saturday was my last soccer game of the season & the most exciting part of the weekend was getting my very first trophy!

Every time my mommy wanted to take a picture of me, I tried to put the trophy right in front of my face since I thought it deserved to be the focus of each picture!

When I got home, I rushed to my room & picked the spot where I wanted to display my trophy on my shelf.  Mom had enough nerve to move it to another spot later that day, but I quickly noticed at bedtime & remedied that situation.  The nerve.

We didn't win the championship but we all had a blast!  I came a long way by the end of the season & my parents are so proud of me!

You'll also notice I'm sporting an awesome red mustache after my first time drinking Gatorade which we fondly called Gator Juice!

I had a great time being part of the Cheetahs!

Soccer star!

For the past couple of months I've been part of a soccer league that plays on Saturday mornings.  My team is the Cheetahs!

My grandma & grandpa took me to my game this weekend since my mom & dad were out boating.  I did awesome & played like a champ!

My sissy and Auntie Lauren sat on the sidelines cheering me on!

I had to take some time to show my appreciation!

Oops, I guess I didn't see my teammate standing here!

I'm such a goofball!

Luckily I have a very patient coach who occasionally needs to bring me back into the game when I get distracted!

Some weeks I just don't feel like playing, but this week I was focused.

With all of that focus, I earned myself the medal for the week!

I was very proud of myself & even though Mommy & Daddy weren't there to see me, they called & told me how proud they were too!

This Saturday is the playoffs so I have to bring my A game & beat the Cougars!  Go Cheetahs, go!
