Cameron's Christmas Program

A couple of weeks ago, I took part in my second school Christmas program & it was so much fun!

While we waited backstage, Reese entertained herself by playing on the stairs of the stage.  Those red boots were made for walking & that's just what she did!

Since we go to the same school, Reese was a social butterfly, charming everyone around... lets just say that she is definitely not a wallflower & everyone knows her!

Sammy is in her class & Leah is in mine, so she had a playmate to goof around with while they waited.

Finally it was time for my performance & I don't mean to brag, but I was kind of the star of the show!  I was front & center & had the microphone right in front of me.  My classmate & I each fought to take over the mic which everyone thought was very funny!

My parents were so proud of my performance!!

Sissy was proud of me too!

I ended the evening with a picture by the Christmas tree with my best girl, Leah!  It's the most wonderful time of the year!

Two year stats!

Gosh, we haven't updated in such a long time since we've been so busy with Thanksgiving & getting ready for Christmas!   A couple of weeks ago Mommy picked me up for my two year check up at the doctor's office.  When we got there, I was not a happy camper since I knew what was coming.. I kept saying, "we go home!" over & over.

My 2nd birthday

Cameron came with us so he could get his flu mist too so at least I had moral support!  But, we were super excited when we found out that I was up to date with my vaccinations & didn't even need a shot!  Although I flip out when it's time to have my length & head circumference measured, so you would think I had a shot based on how hard I cried!  Mommy felt like she had run a marathon after wrangling the two of us mongrels!

Anyway, here are my 2 year stats:

Head Circumference:  19.49" (93%)
Height: 34" (54%)
Weight: 31# (91%)

Click here to see Cameron's two year stats; he was 3" taller than me, 4.8# more with a head circumference 1" bigger.  That's boys for ya!

It's Haloween, it's Halloween!

We had such a great time last week with Halloween!  Between the parties at school & trick-or-treating after, we were chocked full of candy!

My sister didn't exactly cooperate at first, so Mommy literally sweat with determination in the 80+ degree heat & humidity to get a decent shot of us in costume.

The wagon did the trick & made Reese happy so we moved on to trick-or-treating!

I wanted to fly from door to door to get my sticky mitts & beer-bellied Mario butt as much candy as I possibly could, but the little ballerina seriously held me up.  Although it ended up being for the best, since it helped us finally meet our neighbors!  Yes, we've lived in our house for a year & only sorta know the people across the street.  Perhaps my parents are seriously antisocial?

Reese thought she needed to eat each piece she was given & at one point my mom had to shake the drippy, melted Twix out of her death grip.  She wasn't exactly a sight of daintyness, but she definitely looked cute!  After a loop around, we dropped Reese & Daddy off & Mommy & I got serious!

And here are a few random pictures from some of the fall activities we've been doing.  A few weeks ago we hit Hundsader Farms & despite the insane heat, we had a great time.

There were hayrides, dancing at the hoedown, kettle corn & fried food galore!

We even got to hold butterflies which Mommy wanted absolutely no part of... poor butterflies getting man-handled by a bunch of screw-loose kids!

We later headed to Grandma & Grandpa's & even after a dip in the pool, the bathtub was still full of grit, that's just how filthy we were.  But filthy = fun, right?!  Right!

Little pumpkins

We decorated pumpkins last night & I decided to make a bat while Reese made a spider.

Mommy & Daddy later carved their pumpkins, but it was a better idea to not give us knives to mess with!

Reese decided to make her pumpkin a girl by putting the bow on the top of it's head instead of under his mouth as a bow-tie.  Creative girl!  But she absolutely refused to put the top hat on.  I guess girls don't typically wear top hats!

Our pumpkins are hanging out on the front porch in anticipation for Halloween & all of the trick or treaters!  I'll be rocking out my new Mario costume & Reese will be a sweet little ballerina.  We've got our parties at school tomorrow too so we're super excited!

I tried to write my name on my bat pumpkin with the glitter pen but it didn't quite work out as I had envisioned it.  Ah well, ya win some, ya lose some!  Happy Halloween, everyone, I hope you have a spooky, candy-filled day!!

Time to party like a 5 year old!

Last week we celebrated my FIFTH birthday & it ended up being a nearly week long event which I loved!  Trust me, I really milked it being my birthday... "Mom, can I watch just one more show before bed??  But, it's my birthday week!"  Yep, I'm a stinker!  Papa flew in from Chicago to join Grammy for my party & we all had a blast!

We helped Mommy decorate my homemade cake & made an absolute mess in the kitchen!  That just proved that we had a good time doing it!

Our favorite part was licking the whipped cream off the beaters!

Normally I take both for myself, but this year Reese was big enough to join in!

My second favorite part was opening presents!  I got some awesome Mario games for my 3DS & Wii & promptly went upstairs to test them out.  Mommy had to drag me downstairs to sing & have cake.  Told you I was a stinker!

My third favorite part was making a wish & eating my cake.

Of course my side-kick, I mean sister, joined in too!

We re-lit the candles so Reese could blow them out & make a wish too!

I chose a SpongeBob party this year since it's my new favorite show.

Mommy made the Bikini Bottom inner tube on the wall out of a foam wreath, white & red ribbon & blue puffy paint.  It took her all of ten minutes to make so it was an easy decoration.  Or so I'm told!

Mommy & Daddy made pink jellyfish out of balloons & streamers.

And I chose a pirate SpongeBob cupcake cake!

The day was positively beautiful so we set up a baby pool & slip & slide & the babies & kids spent a ton of time playing in the water.  Just before dinner was served, every kid got naked & jumped in.  We're crazy like that.

No family party is complete without playing bags!

After we dined on our Krabby Patty hamburger bar, it was time for cake & presents!

Auntie Lauren brought this red candle flower & it ended up spinning around, playing happy birthday.  We soon found out that there was no way to shut it off & later that night Mommy heard it playing in her room & found it under her bed.  She still isn't sure who put it there, but she's guessing that Uncle Matt was the culprit!

It was a very low key party with a small group of family & friends, but we all had such a great time!  Happy FIFTH birthday to ME!
