My Birthday Weekend

Friday night I went to sleep a 2 year old & Saturday I woke up a 3 year old! That's right, Saturday was my 3rd birthday!!

We started the day with yummy pumpkin pancakes & then headed to Busch Gardens.

When we got home it was time to decorate the birthday cake my mommy made for me!

After cake it was present time! Mommy wanted to get me a book she loves called, On the Night You Were Born... by the time she got to the end, she was teary-eyed. It's quite the sweet, touching book! I also got a really cool, roaring dinosaur from Mommy & Daddy which is super cool!

Sunday it was party time & I couldn't wait to see my friends & family.

We had such a great time & I utterly adored my cake! I have some good taste... I did choose my cake, after all! Mommy & I went to Publix last week & she let me pick whichever cake I wanted. I decided on Buzz & Woody & that's how we picked the party's theme of Toy Story.

We ended the party with a cake for Auntie Lauren since today is her birthday. Happy Birthday, Auntie Lauren!! Hope your day is wonderful!

My birthday weekend was absolutely perfect & I had such an amazing time! Being three has proven to be pretty sweet so far! And I still have the rest of the week off from daycare to spend with my Grammy! I'm a lucky fella!

Disney Vacation

For the past month or so, my parents have been telling me that we're going to see Mickey Mouse at Disney World in honor of my third birthday. Well, that weekend finally arrived as we headed out for our little vacation on Thursday morning!

We stayed at the All Star Movies Resort & explored the grounds after checking in. I was delighted to see massive Toy Story statues all around!!

We grabbed some lunch, swam & then went back to our room to relax before dinner.

Dinner was AMAZING at the T-Rex Cafe!!! Last week my parents showed me pictures & videos of both the T-Rex Cafe & the Rainforest Cafe & I chose T-Rex.

I don't think I'll ever eat at such a cool place again! We were seated in the Ice Age Room where the whole room changed colors every so often. And every fifteen minutes there was a meteor shower which was way too cool. While we waited for our food to arrive, Mommy took me around the restaurant & we looked at all the dinosaurs. Anytime Mommy or Daddy would put their hands out toward them I would say in a very serious voice, Don't touch the dinosaurs!!

Friday we had an absolute blast at the Magic Kingdom! Hop over to Mommy's Blog to see those pictures. Saturday morning we went to eat breakfast with Minnie, Donald & Goofy which was wonderful!

I was able to meet & hug the characters which was so cool! I can't wait to go back to school tomorrow so I can tell all of my friends about it!

If that wasn't cool enough, Goofy even sang Happy Birthday to me!! I will never ever forget my very first trip to Disney World! I am one lucky boy!!

Angry Monster

Last night I played a little game with Daddy called Angry Monster. After waking the monster, he became angry & came after me! But it was no use since I had my Witchy Power!! You may wonder, What is Witchy Power? It's Mommy's book light which holds many magical powers, one which includes fighting off monsters, of course!

Pizza Time!

Last night I spent some time with my best friend, Leah & we made our very own pizzas!!

Or I should say, as Leah made her pizza, I spent most of the time eating mine!

Cheese galore down in my belly!

Leah did an awesome job making her pizza; just look how focused she is!

I love spending time with my best girl! We always have a great time.

Unfortunately shortly after these pictures were taken, I busted up my lip! I was climbing on my rolling horse when I slipped & my chin hit my bed & I bit my lip in the worst way. After lots of icing & tears, I made it through, had a popsicle & finished the night with a slice of my very own homemade pizza!

And boy was it delicious!

Busch Gardens Time!

Yesterday, despite the heat, we decided to head to Busch Gardens so that Auntie Erika & Grammy could join us on their last day before heading back to Chicago.

We started the day with a very close-up visit with the flamingos! I love watching the flamingos when we pass their area at Busch Gardens, but I never expected to be standing only inches from them! Mommy was completely caught off guard when one began to nibble on her ear!!

Next we headed to my favorite part of the park, the Seasame Street area.

After hitting a couple of rides, it was time to cool off at the splash pad! Since it was so insanely hot, the water felt wonderful.

After my water romp, I relaxed & enjoyed a sucker. In the picture above on the right, you'll see me showing the camera how old I am. In one short month I'll be the big three!!! Wow!

We went on a couple more rides, explored the suspension bridge, had some lunch & headed home since we were all worn out from sweating our tails off. Since poor mommy had to haul Baby Reese around she was definitely ready for us to leave! We had a great time though & it was a fun way to end my week with Grammy & Auntie. Right now they're driving back to Chicago & I'm already missing them lots!

My Injury

Last night I was acting like my usual, goofy self when I pulled my arm away from my mom as she was brushing my teeth. After I fell to the ground I began screaming & crying in pain. I'm one tough cookie but that was even too much pain for me to handle. My poor mom was trying to comfort me but couldn't help crying herself since she couldn't stand to see me in such pain. Mommy & Daddy decided to see how I did during the night before we made a trip to the ER.

I woke up crying in pain a few times during the night but overall, I slept pretty well. When I woke up this morning in just as much pain, it was time to call the doctor. I was a total trooper through the whole thing, even when I had to have pictures taken of my arm... it hurt so bad when they had to move it!

Luckily my arm wasn't broken but we needed to figure out why I was in so much pain. The pediatrician we saw today was so nice & I liked him a lot. But I liked him even more after he suspected that my elbow was dislocated & got it back into place!! Okay, maybe I wasn't so fond of him as he was manipulating my arm & causing me excruciating pain, but when it was done & my pain was gone, I could have kissed him! We celebrated by getting some Happy Meals at McDonald's afterward. I'm so thankful to be feeling better now!!

Swimming with My Cousins

Sunday we took a trip up to Grandma & Grandpa's condo on the beach for some fun time with my family. Any chance I can get to spend with my cousins is wonderful by me!

The blondies eating breakfast!

After breakfast it was swimming time!

Whenever I'm with my cousins I become a little big for my britches & think I can run with the big dogs! For instance, I am by no means able to swim on my own, yet after watching Maddy & Mikayla jump into the pool without floatation devices, I assume I'm able to do the same. Good thing my parents are always standing by to rescue me & keep me in line! I always have plenty of crazy antics up my sleeve!

Cheese!

Last Sunday I was swinging at a park we visited & apparently I thought Daddy was taking a picture instead of a video (hence me saying Cheese! over & over!). It'd be nice if he told me these things so I didn't end up looking so foolish!

You Gotta Friend In Me!

I'm so lucky to have a best friend like Leah! She's the sweetest, cutest & most thoughtful girl in the world & I love her!!

I'm a Gaming Fool!

I've been very interested in watching my daddy play Mario Kart on the Wii. Some nights I ask him to play so I can just sit on his lap & watch him drive. I always want him to be Luigi & argue if he tries to pick another driver. I'll even whine, "I want Daddy!" when I really mean Luigi. Apparently in my eyes, my dad looks like an Italian video game character.

This weekend I took it to another level and decided I wanted to be in the driver's seat! And so what if I played in my skivvies.. I'm sure a lot of guys do!

I have to admit, I'm not particularly good since I enjoy crashing my car into the water, but the important part is that I have fun while doing it! Thank goodness Mommy is having a baby girl since before you know it, she's going to have two video-gaming hounds on her hands!

My First Movie!!

This morning we excitedly headed to the movies to see Cars 2! Not only was I beyond excited to see the new Cars but it was also going to be my first time going to see a movie! If you think I was excited, my mom & dad were a million times more excited!!

On our way! I wore my Lightning hat, shirt, sandals, undies & had my Lightning, King & Mater cars in tow. Oh & did you happen to notice the Cars band-aid on my knee? Yep, I was all set!

We finally made it!!

Time to buy our tickets! The morning shows are two dollars cheaper than the matinees & half the price as the night shows at $5 a pop.

Whoa... so this is what people mean when they say they're going to the movies... How awesome.. the sights, the sounds, the smells, oh my!

Initially we were going to buy the $13 popcorn/soda combo (gulp!) but then we saw a lady & her son getting a kid's pack which was $4 for a small popcorn, drink & fruit snacks. Much better!

It was so cool to see all of the other kids there with their Lightning shirts on too!

I kicked back, ate my popcorn, drank my Sprite, ate some M&Ms & enjoyed the heck out of my very first movie! I did great & stayed put for the most part. A couple of times I sat on the stairs next to my mommy but otherwise I was in my own chair. I had an absolute blast during my first movie-going experience & I look forward to many more to come. And I give Cars 2 two thumbs up!!

Father's Day Fun!

Sunday was Father's Day & I was all about loving the wonderful man in my life! How lucky am I to have such a fun, hands-on Daddy?!

We also spent the day with my goofy cousins & the other fathers in my life; Grandpa & Uncle Mike!

Did I mention that my cousins were goofy?

After dinner we went in my little pool to cool off from the hot summer heat.

Then we enjoyed some of Auntie Mel's birthday cake that mommy made from scratch.

After the dads opened their presents Mikayla had some fun with one of the boxes! She tucked herself right inside...

And popped out of the box!

I was so impressed by her trick that I wanted a try next... Unfortunately my head is quite large & wouldn't fit into the box!

This made me very upset! But besides that, we had a wonderful day celebrating the daddys in my life! Hop over to Mommy's blog to check out the food we enjoyed!
