Cereal

Sunday, April 15th, I tried cereal for the very first time!  I was five months & one day old which was older than Cameron was when he first ate solids at almost exactly four months.  Click here to see a picture from Cameron's first taste of cereal.

At first I wasn't sure what to think and I made some pretty funny faces!

Hmmm... I'm not sure what to think about this whole cereal thing!

 But, perhaps I'll keep trying!

Okay, maybe I like cereal after all!  Since then, Mommy has made me sweet potatoes & bananas which I seem to like a whole lot better than cereal!  The world is my oyster & I cannot wait to try more & more foods as I grow!

Easter fun & Reese's doctor visit

Friday Mommy & Daddy got out of work a little early which was so nice! We headed home, hung out & colored Easter eggs.



This was my second time coloring eggs, but of course Reese never has since this was her first Easter. She sat by and watched us & seemed to have a good time... I'm sure next year she'll want to be right in the action with the rest of us!



As my eggs were "taking a bath" I played with the camera & took some pictures. Mommy will upload them for me soon so I can show off my work.



And here you'll see our beautifully vibrant eggs which we just so happened to enjoy as egg salad tonight.



And in other news, Reese had her four month well baby visit on March 28th. It was a little past due since she was sick & we had to reschedule so she was healthy for her vaccinations. So, technically she was four & a half months at this check-up.

Reese's stats:

Head circumference: 16.14 inches (41%)
Height: 25.25" (75%)
Weight: 14.63# (62%)

So, she has grown 5.75" & gained 7.53#. My little sissy is not so little anymore & has more than doubled her weight since birth! Now I'm going to compare my four month stats with Reesey's... Keep in mind, I went to the doctor pretty much right at 4 months so it was nearly two weeks earlier than her appointment.

Cam's four month stats:

Head circumference: 17.72"
Height: 26"
Weight: 17.2#

Bouncing around!

This weekend Mommy & Daddy pulled out Cameron's Einstein jumper to see if I was ready for it..



Cam was able to do it at four months old & since that's how old I am, it was time to get jumping!



I'm a tad short for it.. my toes barely touch the ground! But, I checked out the toys intently & really enjoyed hanging out in my new jumper.





I'm so lucky that my big brother is so nice to let me use his old toys!



I have a feeling that I'll be spending a lot of time in this contraption!

Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!

Last week at school we celebrated Dr. Seuss's birthday the entire week! We had a different theme each day & it was so much fun to dress up & wear silly socks. I absolutely adore Dr. Seuss & watch The Cat in the Hat all the time. I think Reesey is going to be a big fan too!



Reesey wore the Dr. Seuss onesie I used to wear when I was her age! So sweet.



I made the top hat I'm wearing in these pictures... yes, yes, I am one creative little guy!



And my mom made the Thing 1 sign for the front of my red shirt. She's a crafty lady!



It was a special week, thanks to Dr. Seuss!

Best buddy's birthday

Last Saturday was my best friend Leah's third birthday!



Isn't she just the cutest little thing?! Leah chose a princess theme for her party.



And everyone had such a great time!



The cupcakes were my favorite part, of course!



Avery loved them too!



And so did the birthday girl!



Josh, Daddy & Chris enjoyed beer instead.




We all jumped our booties off in the bounce house!



And Reese napped her booty off in her swing!

Grammy, Papa & Uncle Nick

January was a very busy month & we had a lot of visitors! Grammy stayed for all of January & in that time Uncle Nick & Papa came for a visit but at separate times.



Everyone got to meet Reese for the first time & of course they instantly fell in love with her! I've got a pretty cute baby sister!



Papa couldn't believe how big I've gotten & how well I'm talking since the last time we saw each other.



We enjoyed Grammy's last day here by spending most of our Saturday outside.



We miss Grammy lots & we're already looking forward to her next visit!

Two Months!

On Wednesday we headed to the doctor with Grammy & Daddy for my two month well-visit with the pediatrician.



Unfortunately I had to get 2 shots but I didn't cry very much since I'm a tough cookie! I really enjoyed drinking the Rotavirus vaccination though!



I'm smiling all the time these days & growing so big!





Here are my two month stats:

Height: 23 inches (71%)
Weight: 11#, 4oz (58%)
Head Circumference: 15.75" (78%)

Weekend Fun

Even though last Saturday was cold we braved it & headed to Busch Gardens & had such a great time, as usual.



Reese was bundled up & cozy as can be!



Me & Leah enjoyed some tasty cotton candy & I even managed to get a string of it on my nose!



Yum, yum!











I was like a little monkey roaming around the jungle gym!



This orangutan happened to vomit on the window & proceed to lick it up. And not once but twice! What the heck?!





I've gotten to be so brave too & I'm now making my way across the rope bridge all by myself!! It was my first time going without holding anyone's hand!





We had such a great time with my family & friends!

Look alikes!

So many people who meet my sister tell us that she looks just like me! Lucky girl! As soon as Mommy & Daddy met Reese, they thought the same thing too. Here's a picture of the two of us at two months old. In my picture, I'm one day shy of 2 months & in Reese's picture, she's 2 days shy of 2 months. You be the judge, do we look alike?

So much fun!

We love going to Busch Gardens whenever possible so we headed there this weekend to enjoy the beautiful day with Grammy.



I always so much fun playing in the Sesame Street area & one day Reese will be able to enjoy it with me!



In the meantime, it was only her second time at Busch Gardens & she slept most of the time or just lounged in the back of our stroller.



I, on the other hand, was a busy bee who climbed around & rode lots of rides!



Grammy & I took the Sky Ride to lunch while Mommy, Daddy & Reese watched us from below & met us there by foot.



We had an awesome day as usual!
