Busch Gardens with Grammy!

Yesterday we headed to Busch Gardens to enjoy the day with Grammy!

For the first time ever I rode on something all by myself! I have to say that my mom was a bit of a nervous wreck since she wasn't sure how I'd react & that I had no restraints of any kind to keep me in the ride. But I was a champ, sat the entire time & had a blast!

Then I drove the race car by myself!

But I got a little upset when I rear-ended the car in front of me as the ride was coming to an end!

The splash pad in Sesame Land was a wonderful way to cool off. I have a feeling that when the summer heat arrives we'll come here first thing in the morning so I can play in the water & then head home before we're all miserably hot.

I found that one of my favorite spots was where the water blasted from this roller coaster! I probably could have stood here all day!

It was a great day & I can't wait till we go back!

Newborn Baby

My mom is a goofball who likes to pretend I'm still a newborn baby! As you can see by the potty behind us, I'm a very, very advanced newborn who happens to be potty trained. And have teeth, and can walk & run! Oh well, whatever makes her happy!

Family Time!

Saturday morning we headed over to Auntie Mel & Uncle Mike's house for a day spent with family. It's always so awesome to spend time with my cousins!

Auntie Mel totally surprised me with this race track that had been a gift to Madelyn when she was younger. I'm loving it & play with it all the time. Thank you, Auntie Mel!

We played outside, ate an early dinner & just enjoyed being together.

Riding bikes was a lot of fun & I learned to pedal better than I've ever done before!

Of course Uncle Mike had to get a little taste of the belly!

Our dirt ball bodies took a dip in the tub since we were covered from head to toe from all the fun! I love my family!

Ladies Man

Last night I was able to spend some time with two beautiful gals, Leah & Avery! Am I lucky or what?

Avery will be a big sister in two to three short weeks & she's very excited to meet her baby brother, Brooks.

My list of friends just keeps growing & growing! I'll be welcoming baby Taylor into my entourage in about two months & I cannot wait to meet her!

Take Me Out to the Ballgame!

Saturday afternoon we headed out to a Yankees spring training game which just so happened to be my very first baseball game! How exciting!

My mommy & daddy weren't sure how I'd do since I had to miss my nap & it appeared that I might be coming down with a cold.

But I was an absolute champ & had a really great time! It was much more enjoyable after about a half hour when the sun moved behind us & stopped glaring in my eyes.

Most of the game I sat on Mommy or Daddy's lap, but I also took a stroll with Daddy & explored the park. Toward the later part of the game I moved to the ground where I could push my cars around & spread out.

And then I started getting really sleepy! Hey, remember, I missed my nap!

Laying on a concrete floor isn't exactly the cleanliest, most comfortable thing in the world but desperate times call for desperate measures! And Mommy was nice enough to let me lay my head on her tank top.

For not even being two & a half, I was very well behaved & all the elderly people around us commented on this at the end of the game! Unfortunately my cold is now full-blown so I'll be staying home from school tomorrow because of a fever. Hopefully I feel better very soon!

Potty Excellence

I've been doing an amazing job of using the potty these days! I don't mean to toot my own horn, but I'm rather proud of myself!

My daycare deserves a lot of the credit since they encouraged my mom & dad to start sending in me in undies rather than a diaper. It was strange for them at first & maybe they didn't think I was ready but I sure proved them wrong!

I wear a diaper to bed & for nap but otherwise I'm in undies all day long. The biggest hurdle for my parents was taking me on an outing in undies, but I handled it like a champ. We spent the entire morning/early afternoon out & about last weekend & I never had an issue since I used the potty at McDonald's & Home Depot with no problems. Sunday I went to church in undies & spent the afternoon at Auntie Lo Lo & Uncle Josh's house & had dinner at a restaurant sans diaper.

I really surprised my mom tonight when I was in my pajamas & nighttime diaper watching Cars before bed.... Mommy was in the kitchen cleaning up & the next thing she heard was my little potty chiming its pee-pee jingle. When she came into the living room, she was met with the image you see in all of these pictures. I had taken my pj pants & diaper off & gotten on the potty with no prompting! Awe yeah, that's how I roll! And the biggest surprise of all? When my dad got me up in the morning a couple of days ago, my diaper was bone dry. You might not think this is a big deal, but I normally pee like an elephant during the night & my diaper is usually bursting at the seams! I'm becoming such a mature boy all of a sudden!

I'm a Swimmin Fool!

We spent the weekend at Grandma & Grandpa's condo at the beach & I had a ball swimming with Daddy this morning!

My dad was trying to teach me how to stay afloat with my swimmies on but I still have a ways to go since I don't get enough pool time. I'll have to work on kicking my feet!

But even though I didn't perform like an Olympian swimmer, I still had a lot of fun & was so happy to be with Mommy & Daddy!

I thought it was absolutely hilarious to splash my dad in the face as I smacked at the water!

I know that my weekend was awesome & I hope yours was too!

the beatles/ in my life

Mommy sings this song to me nearly every night at bedtime & I absolutely love it! She replaces the "you" with "Cam." So instead of, "In my life, I love you more..." she'll sing, "In my life, I love Cam more!"

Blast Off!

I had an absolute blast this morning as my dad blasted me off into what felt like outer space!

I am so happy that Mommy & Daddy are home with me today after they decided to take the day after Super Bowl Sunday off.

We've played & hung out but a lot of the afternoon has involved Daddy trying his pants off to get me to take a nap. I'm positively stubborn & my dad is positively persistent so he's still trying after an hour or so. I can tell you that my mom would have given up after about fifteen minutes since she doesn't have patience like Daddy.

My parents are sure that I'm not ready for a toddler bed though so it's likely that they're going to invest in one of those crib tents to prevent me from climbing out.

Daddy's reading Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child by Marc Weissbluth to get some pointers since I'm too young to be giving up my naps. I take naps every day at daycare on my mat, but my teacher has to sit next to me & pat my back for about fifteen minutes until I fall asleep. My parents are armed & ready so it's go-time. We'll see how things pan out!

UPDATE: Rats! I lost & Daddy won since I FINALLY ended up taking a 2 hour nap!

Silly Goose!

Chicago Time

I was able to enjoy some snow time as we were staying at Grammy & Papa's house in Illinois last week. This was my second time in the snow since we were able to visit Illinois Christmas of 2009. Click here & here to check out my first time in the snow. I was only 15 months old then so now that I'm 28 months old, I'm a new man with many new capabilities & tricks!

My favorite part was probably throwing snow at Mommy & Daddy. Mommy was very happy with this as she was able to get lots of smiling pictures of me!

And I took some time to work on my slap shot! Maybe I'll play for the Chicago Blackhawks one day & I'll make so much money that I'll buy a house in Chicago so my mom & dad can be snow birds!

I was able to sit on the neighbor's swing again! If you clicked on the links to my first time in the snow, you'll see some majorly cute pictures of me on this swing.

I even helped shovel the ice so the neighborhood kids could skate. It was so cool that the pond was frozen solid this year.

It was so great to catch up with Aunt Elaine & Uncle Chuck!

And share some snacks with Grammy!

I was so happy to visit with my Great Grandma Mociute (that's Grandma in Lithuanian).

My parents were so thrilled that I was on my best behavior on the plane both ways. As we left Chicago for Florida, I was so excited to spot the Disney plane!! As you can see, Buzz & Woody enjoyed the view with me!

I had such a great time catching up with family & friends & enjoying the snow! We're planning on heading back up for Christmas this year, so I'll experience snow twice in one year!
