Shananigans!

The Bears may not have played on Sunday, but we still got together with our friends & family & watched some football. And as always, a good time was had while hanging out with Leah! I got to play with some of my new toys & spend time with my papa & Uncle Nick before they headed home to Chicago yesterday.

And even with all of my new toys, I think I had the most fun of the day while playing in my crib with Leah! We were being so goofy & absolutely cracking my mommy up!

Am I a stud or what?! :o) Just kidding, I'm a good guy!

I'm so lucky to be growing up with such a wonderful friend!

Sometimes the simplest things in life make us the happiest!

And man oh man am I a happy boy!

It's My Party & I'll Cry if I Want To!

Even though I don't look exceptionally happy in this picture, I actually had a wonderful time at my party! I laid down for my nap & no one was at our house & when I awoke a couple hours later, my house was jammed packed with people! It was quite a surprise!

My parents chose a Lightning McQueen theme since my favorite movie is Cars. Kachow!

I was so happy to spend time with my favorite cousins, Maddy & Mikayla!

And of course my best girl, Leah!

I got so many wonderful gifts; everyone was so thoughtful & generous! I'm such a lucky boy to have so many people who love me!

And my Uncle Nick got me this totally awesome Schwinn tricycle! So retro! I plan on picking up a lot of chicks in this bad boy. Just kidding, my heart belongs to Leah!

Cake time!

My Godparents, Uncle Nick & Auntie Lauren are the best. And today is my Auntie Lauren's 27th birthday! Happy birthday, Auntie Lauren, I love you!

Pool time; had to cool off as it was a very hot day!

Thank you to everyone for celebrating my birth, I had such a great party & so far two has been treating me very well!!

I'm TWO!

Today when I awoke, I thought it might just be like any other day. But when my grammy scooped me out of bed & I saw my Uncle Nick sleeping on a blowup bed in the living room & my papa popped out & my mommy started serenading me with Happy Birthday to You... I quickly discovered that this was certainly a special day!!

A very special day indeed! It's my second birthday today!!

I hadn't seen my papa or Uncle Nick since I was fifteen months old, so this was a very special surprise! I got to hang with my uncle as my grammy whipped me up a scrumptious breakfast. Am I a lucky guy or what?

Look how beautiful my grammy is, bringing our breakfast outside so we could dine al fresco!

My grammy's breakfast specialty is a delicious egg scramble with bacon & sauteed sweet onions. Yum!

And I'm positive that I melted my papa's heart with my sweet kisses!

Just when I didn't think the day could get any better, I found that my mom & dad took the day off work to celebrate with me! They tired me out at the park so I could take an early nap to be ready for the rest of our adventures.

And yes people, although I am now two, I still drool from time to time. Lay off, it's my birthday!

So big!

My Uncle Nick was being a goofball!

And while I napped my uncle & papa were assembling my present from Uncle Nick! This tricycle is the bees knees; so retro looking!

After my nap it was off to Tampa to hang at Channelside for a bit before dinner. Our initial plan included the aquarium, but then we discovered that they closed at 5 so it wouldn't have been worth it. But, I had a great time & this nice girl even made me a race car for my birthday. Well, my dad did have to tip her, but that's besides the point!

Pretty cool, huh?

And then as we headed to dinner at the Tampa Bay Brewing Company in Ybor City, we were so tickled to see this rooster with her five adorable babies!!

And as we finished dinner & headed back to the car, it was my grammy who was tickled to find that I held her hand as Mommy pushed me in my stroller. And I held her hand for a really long time!

I have to say that it was an amazing day & so far being two feels darn good! And a little birdie told me that today was only half the excitement as tomorrow is my Lightening McQueen party!! Hip, hip, horray!
