Family Time

Saturday morning we headed down to Venice, FL to celebrate my cousin Mikayla's third birthday at the YMCA. You can check out my mom's blog for pictures at the Y! It was awesome to hang out with my cousins and spend the day with family.

Look at us blond kids; we could easily pass as siblings!

After we played in the gym at the Y, we enjoyed some pizza & cake & watched Mikayla open her gifts.

Madelyn is a pretty, pretty princess!

A pirate says, "Arr!"

Love me my Uncle Mike!

Uncle Mike kept putting me on his head & saying, "It's a Cameron hat!"

And I thought that was pretty funny!

Being with my grandma made me very happy & I had such a wonderful day!

I'm so thankful for my family & all the people who love me!

Saturdays Rule!

This fine Saturday began as my parents awoke at 8am, startled to find that I was still sleeping! And I slept until almost 9 this morning; it was crazy!

I started the day by putting in a bit of work on the ol' laptop.

As I worked, my mom & dad whipped up a delicious breakfast of French toast & eggs over easy. Casper decided to watch me eat my breakfast...

I thought I'd be more efficient by using two utensils!

Hey, that's my dad!

I told my dad all sorts of interesting stories over breakfast; I've been a little motor mouth today! I'm starting to enunciate my words more & increase my vocabulary.

And then it was time to play with our house guest, Romie who is staying with us while Auntie Lo Lo & Uncle Josh go on vacation.

Here's a picture of me with Romie when I was only 4 months old! I couldn't even roll over at this point so I wasn't nearly as fun to play with as I am now!

Time for the little princess to take a rest on her perch!

Hog Tied!

Daddy likes to pretend I'm a pig roasting on a spit... weird? Yes! But fun, none-the-less!

As he's swinging me, he chants, "Hoy-a-hoy-a!"

And I laugh & I laugh!

Good times, good times!

HAWKS WIN!!!!

Last night the Chicago Blackhawks brought home the Stanley Cup! I may have been sleeping when it happened, but my mom & dad told me all about it!

And I actually got to wear my autographed Kane shirt that my grandpa gave me about 8 months ago! I was told since it's autographed, I shouldn't be wearing it... what gives!?

Go Hawks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Water Works

On Memorial Day weekend we headed over to Auntie Kelly & Uncle Matt's house for a fun-filled BBQ. When I woke up from my nap, it was time to hit the slip & slide with my friend, Cole.

Nice saggy diaper, huh? Thanks a lot, Mom & Dad! Eventually I was put into a swim diaper & trunks but for the first ten or so minutes, I looked like a fool! Not cool! (Hey, that rhymed! I'm a poet & I didn't even know it!)

Cole was a pro at zipping down the slip & slide!

I'm still working on my skills!

I was just taking a moment to love on my dad here.

Having an older friend is pretty cool; he teaches me all kinds of neat tricks & looks out for me to make sure I don't get into any trouble. Yeah, I tend to do that.

And after all that running & sliding, it was time for me to just kick back & relax!

My Buddy's Birthday

Saturday we celebrated Carter's first birthday! Carter is my good buddy who we were lucky enough to meet at church. We headed over to a park & took shelter under the pavilion from the sweltering Florida heat.

I had fun playing with Carter's toys & books! Thanks for sharing!

And even though I was completely red-faced & soaked in sweat, I had an absolute blast. At one point I ended up busting out my sweet dance moves in the middle of the party. I loved entertaining everyone since I am Cam the Ham!

Here's Daddy & Uncle Josh with Carter's dad, Tom. He grilled up some mean burgers & hot dogs! And speaking of eating, I think I ate my weight in potato chips!

And here's the birthday boy himself! He was just taking a moment to reflect on happenings of his first year of life in this picture!

And of course, no first birthday party is complete without a face full of cake! Happy birthday, Carter!!
